Roswell UFO Festival

What:  Com­mem­o­rat­ing the infa­mous ‘Roswell Inci­dent’ the Roswell UFO fes­ti­val is the place for scep­tics and believ­ers alike to explore, cel­e­brate and dis­cuss oth­er world­ly life.

While the fes­ti­val begins with a good humoured ‘Alien chase’ – a series of fun runs in alien fan­cy dress, and also plays host to alien pet dress-up, an elec­tric light parade and a host of alien relat­ed food snacks, the Roswell UFO muse­um and inter­na­tion­al Roswell UFO research cen­tre spend 3 days dis­cussing the Roswell inci­dent, lat­est out­er space research and dis­sect­ing the mer­its of life in out­er space – for an out of this world expe­ri­ence !

When: The fes­ti­val takes place for 3 days in July, typ­i­cal­ly begin­ning the day after inde­pen­dence day and com­mem­o­rat­ing the anniver­sary of the infa­mous Roswell crash, although be sure to dou­ble check as the dates do move.

Where: The main parade, alien chase and elec­tric light parade take place on main street in Roswell, with the lec­tures, events and talk tak­ing place in the Roswell UFO muse­um, to fill the gaps in between activ­i­ties the Roswell muse­um and Roswell inter­na­tion­al UFO research cen­tre also put on dis­plays.

Dura­tion: The fes­ti­val typ­i­cal­ly lasts for 3 days, with the Sat­ur­day of the fes­ti­val using being the busiest day and end­ing in a light parade.

Tick­ets: there are no tick­ets required for the UFO fes­ti­val – although reg­is­tra­tion is required on the day if you wish to enter one of the fun runs and a small price ($5) is charged to enter the muse­ums.
